In order to have a Boom & Zoom, you must have a dragstrip! We gratefully acknowledge those tracks that have opened their lanes to MECA to create this new format of 12V fun. Below you will find information about, links to and pictures of the racetracks that have hosted and will host Boom and Zoom events. Please provide your support for these tracks to show MECA's gratitude for their assistance by attending those in your area regularly.

US 43 Dragstrip -- Ethridge, TN

The US 43 Dragstrip in Ethridge was the site of the first Boom and Zoom events and is uniquely responsible for the creation of the format and rules. The track is an 1/8th mile dragstrip with all the modern timing equipment and amenities necessary to hold IHRA sanctioned events. Wally Kornegay, the track owner from Huntsville, AL, first heard about Boom & Zoom and was immediately excited about the possibilities when Steve Stern presented the idea to him, and welcomed MECA to the track.

The track is located in Ethridge Tennessee in South Central, TN. It is a relatively short distance from Huntsville, AL and Nashville, TN. For Directions to the track, look at the map below provided by MapQuest, or click on it to get Driving Directions specifically from your location.
